Make every word count.

I’ve been a storyteller for as long as I can remember. As a little girl, I’d see my Dad poring over the morning newspaper and wonder what was holding his attention for so long. I’d grab a chair, sit alongside him, and read over his shoulder. I was captivated by the power of the written word back then—and that’s something that has never left me.

I started my career as a newspaper journalist in the U.K. in the early 2000s, working on daily regional titles that saw me reporting from Basra during the Iraq War, covering murder trials, and diving into my first triathlon. It was the latter that significantly changed the course of my career—and my life.

Just a few years after doing my first triathlon (at Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire, in 2005), I started racing professionally, and in 2011 won my first three Ironman 70.3 titles. I’d go on to win three more titles, finish in the top 10 at the 70.3 World Championships twice, work with some of the world’s best endurance coaches, and move to the U.S. to be with my coaches and team full-time. Throughout this time, I continued to work as a freelance journalist, combining my flair for writing and reporting with my knowledge and insights of the endurance world.

Competing professionally for a decade meant learning how to succeed and fail, it meant knowing how to get the best from my body and mind every single day, it meant adopting habits and behaviors long before they became high-performance trends. It also meant forging bonds and relationships with others to help us all get the best from ourselves, and all the while having a lot of fun and building resilience, curiosity, and compassion.

Since retiring from professional sport, I’ve worked in publishing, print and digital media, and brand marketing, in both established corporate settings and scrappy start-ups. Whether it’s writing long-form articles, crafting content strategy, or ghostwriting for experts, I absolutely love combining my skills and experience to help others share their stories, to inform and inspire, and to help high-performance brands and people connect with their audiences.

I’ve discovered my unique blend of passion, talent, energy, and experience is the perfect partner for clients who want to reach high performers in an informative and engaging way because—after all these miles and all these years—high performance is home for me, and always will be.
